Colleen Yanez has been working with teens and young adults for over 25 years. In that time, Colleen has worked as an administrator and teacher, specializing in working with middle school and high school students of all abilities. She has a master’s degree in Special Education and is an expert in working with people who need support in executive functioning. In addition, Colleen has been coaching teens and young adults, and their parents, for over 12 years, supporting them in their journeys to have breakthroughs in their lives. This coaching has supported them to transform their relationship to self, others and their lives.

  • Colleen worked as a middle school teacher and administrator for over 25 years. She specialized in working with neurodiverse students as a special educator, later earning her National Board Teacher Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist. In her spare time, she also was a volunteer life coach for teens, young adults and their families.

  • Colleen has a BA in English and secondary education; a master’s degree in special education; and a master’s degree in educational leadership. She’s a National Board Certified Teacher as an exceptional needs specialist. She’s also achieved certifications in Executive Functioning, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Life Coaching.

  • Knowing its value and importance when working with teens, one of the first things that Colleen does is establish a relationship with her clients. She does this while having straight forward and honest conversations.
