Step 1: Establish timelines and requirements

  • In step one, we’ll spend a few minutes getting acquainted and going over the facts: time lines, requirements, etc

Step 2: Uncover roadblocks

  • Teens can often experience a number of things regarding school: dread, insecurity, anxiety, feeling not smart. Using her empathetic and acute listening skills, Colleen will encourage your teen to look deeper at what’s potentially getting in the way of their success

Step 3: Discuss Strategies to Overcome Roadblocks

  • After working with teens for over 25 years, Colleen has an extensive array of strategies at her fingertips to share with teens that will make a difference for them. Strategies will be discussed, demonstrated and emailed after the session.

Step 4: Create a personalized schedule

  • Colleen will work with your teen to create a schedule on Google Sheets that reflects their personal obligations and activities. She’ll also demonstrate how to use a personal calendar for reinforced support.

From the parent of a client:

My child struggles with executive functioning skills, and Colleen was able to build a plan that truly works for him. She’s relatable, funny, and makes the process enjoyable. Colleen is great at connecting with teens, meeting them where they’re at, and helping them find strategies that stick. I’ve already noticed more confidence and independence in my son, and he actually looks forward to his sessions. I can’t recommend her enough for any parent looking for support in helping their child thrive.
