The number one issue that teens are dealing with today is anxiety. Anxiety can take on different forms and have a big impact on teens’ physical, mental and emotional well being. For some, anxiety is a debilitating occurrence that requires medical help from a trained professional. For others, limiting beliefs and unhealthy habits can be at the root of what’s causing the anxiety. If this sounds more like the case, then you’re in the right place!

Over the course of 4 weeks, participants will use the KEY Method to develop Knowledge, Execute new strategies to Elevate themselves, and unlock what’s possible for YOU. Methodologies are research-based and highly effective with giving teens control over their anxiety. Working in a group also helps teens to understand that they’re not alone, which is something they often feel!

Executive Functioning is one of the newer buzz words in education…but what exactly does it mean?

Executive Functioning, by definition, is the set of cognitive skills that we all possess that help people manage thoughts, actions and emotions. The core components of EF are working memory, cognitive flexibility and controlling our inhibitions.

In plain speak, executive functioning are the skills that we all need to successfully navigate life: planning, organization, time management, problem-solving, self-monitoring, planning and executing projects, following instructions, adapting to new situations, and controlling our impulses.

For many students, these skills are underdeveloped and can cause issues in school:

  • discipline issues, difficulty making friends, misinterpreting social cues

  • missing assignments, lack of follow through, procrastinating, failing grades

In this hour long workshop, you will learn some of the research behind executive functioning and you will walk away with ten practical strategies to support your student succeeding in school that can be implemented right away!

The workshop is free, but space is limited so don’t hesitate to sign up today!
